John Gerard training services
The government wants all young people to have the best possible start to their working lives, with time for study or training playing a key role. A highly trained, skilled and knowledgeable workforce is more effective and often more flexible, motivated and committed. With this in mind, John Gerard established the John Gerard Hair Study Centre.
John Gerard Hair Study Centre
Situated in the heart of Newcastle city centre, the John Gerard Hair Study Centre is a professional centre of excellence for hairdressing training, funded by the Tyne & Wear and Northumberland Learning and Skills Council. Our team of highly qualified and experienced tutors cover all aspects of hairdressing training and dedicate themselves to harnessing potential talent.
Student Training
All students are expected to attend the training centre once a fortnight for a full days training, consisting of a half day of theory and a half day practical training. All practical training takes place in John Gerard's own dedicated training salon ? where students can learn in a controlled environment supervised at all times by fully qualified, experienced tutors.
Work placements
John Gerard Training Services are contracted to over 100 professional hairdressing salons throughout the north east to assist apprentices in gaining National Hairdressing Qualifications at both Foundation and Advanced levels.
Training with John Gerard is the first step to a highly successful career in hairdressing.
